Pepe’s & Mito’s Restaurant in Dallas, TX – Detailed Review
For the past 26 years and counting Pepe, the Parrot has lit up the nights of Elm Street luring them into the family-friendly restaurant and experiencing the savory flavors on your plate. This joint will sure to be a favorite on our around-town series that explores our favorite Texas restaurants and bars.

When I first enter the Pepe’s & Mito’s you are greeted with the warmest smile from the hostess who brought me to my table. As I looked around the room I noticed the colorful walls with beautiful paintings and picture frames that wrapped the culture of Mexico like a taco.
I also got to see the famous signature of Guy Fieri when he came to film back in 2017 on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and again in 2022 for his other show Triple D Nation where he return to some of the “most memorable joints” previously featured in Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives to check in on how things are going.
After going through the menu of Pepe’s & Mito’s I ordered and received my food on time, I got to devour their delicious brunch quesadillas that are only available on Sundays from 11-5 pm which consisted of egg, chicken and beef, cheese, onions, tomatoes, and of course served with a side of sour cream and pico de gallo. You can easily pair this brunch plate with a refreshing margarita. Don’t forget to ask them about the different flavors they have.
I recommend the jalapeno one, trust me! Speaking of margaritas you must go during their happy hour on Wednesday thru Friday from 4-7 pm $3 for house margaritas and $3.75 for flavored margaritas! But don’t forget, you can’t skip dessert. I had the fluffiest and golden brown sopapillas with a side of honey to top off the meal that satisfies one craving for sugar after a good meal.

The culture that revolves around Deep Ellum always inspires me to create if it’s not due to the artwork on the buildings then it’s in the kitchens of restaurants like Pepe’s & Mito’s. So, here’s a reminder for whenever you are in Dallas to check out the family-owned restaurant.
