7 Best Dog Friendly Restaurants in Dallas for You & Your Pup
Eva Rogers
July 1, 2025There’s nothing quite like spending time with your dog—whether it’s a lazy walk, a game of fetch, or simply relaxing side by side.
For many pet owners, dogs aren’t just pets; they’re family. So it’s only natural to want them by your side when enjoying a good meal.
Fortunately, Dallas is full of great spots that welcome both you and your furry companion. From casual patios to stylish outdoor cafes, the city offers plenty of dog-friendly dining options.
In this guide, we’ll explore some of the best dog-friendly restaurants in Dallas that are perfect for a day out with your pup.
7 Best Pet Friendly Restaurants in Dallas
MUTTS Canine Cantina offers a laid-back outdoor experience where dog lovers can enjoy casual eats and craft beers on a dog-friendly patio.
The setting includes two off-leash dog parks—one for big dogs and another for small pups—making it a perfect hangout for both pets and their owners.
From their delicious menu, I always start with the crispy chicken tenders; hot, juicy, and perfect with fries.
Their burger is flavorful (small but satisfying), and the classic grilled cheese is also flavour-rich and buttery. On weekends, $3 mimosas and $4 Bloody Marys seal the deal.
My dog lives for the Doggie Dog (a hot dog slathered with peanut butter). Prices are reasonable overall, especially for the laid-back, community vibe.
The staff is upbeat, the music is always playing, and there’s a shower station for muddy paws.

Finally checked out Mutts Cantina today It was a pretty good time. I think taking a flask to White Rock lake is far cheaper but for the saving time on a drive, not bad. :) Bunni enjoyed her time there. Anything to chill out our husky - lol.
Wow didn’t expect much out of a dog park restaurant but their drinks were pretty strong and one of the best fried pickles I’ve had. Overall great place to relax and have a drink while the kids play with the dogs.

Katy Trail Ice House offers a relaxed hangout spot with picnic tables, ice-cold beer, and a fun backyard feel, all set along the scenic Katy Trail—a public park and trail that’s privately maintained.
It’s a beloved dog-friendly restaurant in Dallas where dogs get just as much love as their owners.
I like their grilled chicken sandwich; it’s juicy and chargrilled just right. Their giant onion rings are a must, and the burgers are solid and satisfying. The portions are generous (I took half my salad home).
It gets crowded, so grab a table fast and expect a bit of a wait, but service is friendly and attentive. Prices are fair for the location, and there’s a valet.
Tip: Dog waste bags are provided, and the Katy Trail is steps away for a post-meal stroll.

We had the best time! Super beautiful February afternoon and just enough people here to make it a bustling atmosphere. Great to sit outside, enjoy lunch and margaritas while watching all the traffic on the Katy Trail. Our waitress was fabulous- kept checking in without being overbearing. Food was great. The margaritas were even better! Would love to come back when this huge place is full and hopping! Put this on your to-do list!!
Super cool and casual restaurant on Katy Trail. Easily the most popular one and for years! Reservations are definitely needed for weekend lunch. I was able to seat at the bar for a beer. Huge sport bar and wide selection of tap beer. Absolutely recommended!!

Truck Yard feels like a wild backyard party; rustic, quirky, and energy-packed. This Dallas dog-friendly patio has rotating food trucks, live music, a treehouse, and an airstream karaoke room that can be rented for parties and private events.
I always crave their smashed burger and the smoked Reuben, which is unreal: smoky, tender, and stacked high. Chips come on the side, though $14 feels a little steep. Still, the vibe makes up for it.
You can chill under the trees with your pup, sip a sweet drink, and enjoy a band on the outdoor stage. Ordering is easy via QR code or straight from the truck.

The Rustic is a lively, dog-friendly restaurant in Dallas that blends great food, live music, and authentic Texas charm.
With a spacious outdoor patio perfect for both people and pups, it’s an ideal spot to kick back and relax.
Guests can enjoy locally sourced American dishes, sip on Texas craft brews, and take in the vibrant atmosphere with live music setting the tone.
I love their family-style weekend brunch ($20 gets you a spread of juicy hot chicken, crispy potatoes, and fresh seasonal sides).
Their tacos are flavorful, and their goat cheese and apple appetizer is a surprise hit.
Service is warm and attentive, and the atmosphere feels like a modern ranch with Insta-worthy corners and a full-scale stage for live music.
The prices are reasonable for what this place offers, especially with enormous serving sizes and a lively, group-friendly setting.
Tip: Drinks are top-notch, try the Paloma or Spicy Margarita.

If you’re in Dallas and craving a laid-back atmosphere with great food and live music, The Rustic is a must! The vibe is relaxed and Texas-cool, perfect for a casual night out or a weekend brunch. But let’s talk about the deviled eggs — absolutely delicious! Creamy, flavorful, and topped with just the right amount of spice and crunch. They’re the kind of appetizer you order “for the table” and end up not wanting to share. Everything from the service to the cocktails was on point. Highly recommend!
Good place for food and live music. Thursday night out for dinner in Dallas and the live music was fitting for the atmosphere. Very glad we found this place. Easy to get to and we were quickly seated. Our server was very attentive and took care of all of our food allergies. I would love to go back!

Cane Rosso serves up authentic Neapolitan-style pizza, Italian sandwiches, pastas, and desserts in a laid-back setting with a dog-friendly patio right in the heart of Deep Ellum.
It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a delicious meal and then take a relaxing stroll through the neighborhood with your pup.
I keep returning for the Honey Bastard, which is sweet, spicy, and cheesy perfection. Their Truffle Shuffle is a must-try, rich with creamy truffle and mushroom flavor.
I also love their crowd-favorite Carbonara, a standout, thick, bouncy pasta coated in a sweet sauce with a yolk you mix in yourself.
Dishes come out hot. It’s busy, but the service is good. Prices are a little high, but the handmade dough and house-made mozzarella are worth it.

Great location in Deep Ellem. Service was fantastic and the food was great. Pizza was exceptional, spaghetti was okay. Meatballs are huge but not very flavorful like I would have expected. Prices in line with this type of Italian place.
My boyfriend & I came here to celebrate our 2nd anniversary. We had visited this location earlier in our relationship & it is a special spot for us. Ariel was our server and she was absolutely wonderful! She recommended the Honey Bastard pizza to us & and it was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. We had such an amazing time & we appreciate that the team made our day even more special.
Excellent!!! I had the Spicy Chicken Penne. I am putting this amazing dish into my Top 5 pasta dishes. Excellent combination of spices and flavors - in addition to being a generous portion. My wife enjoyed her Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo. The place has minimal atmosphere, but who cares when the food is this good.

La Ventana is a laid-back Mexican spot known for street-style tacos, burritos, and bowls, plus cold beer and margaritas.
With a walk-up window, self-serve seating, and a relaxed patio, it’s one of my favorite pet-friendly places in Dallas to grab a quick bite with my pup.
I keep returning for their barbacoa tacos, tender meat with fresh pico. A side of their crispy chips and super-fresh guac is insanely addictive.
The shrimp taco is flavorful, and their homemade corn tortillas make every bite pop.
The prices are wallet-friendly (most tacos under $3), and service is quick, even when busy. Great for a casual lunch or an easygoing hangout with friends.
Tip: Don’t skip the Mexican sodas or a Jamaican drink for the full experience.

Such great vibes, great for a solo date or a couple date. Great food and very strong drinks. 💕 thank you to Eduardo for such a great vibe 🫶🏻 10/10 margaritas 💅
This place was amazing! As a DFW realtor, I love visiting places where I can meet clients or take a break. Eduardo, our server, took excellent care of us. Would definitely come here again.
Staying downtown for the volleyball national tournament and did a quick search for local Tex Mex place This place had amazing reviews and we love it as well. I had the brisket taco and shrimp taco as well as elotes. My wife had chicken tacos. The salsa and chips were probably our fav due to the high quality salsa

Saint Ann Restaurant & Bar blends upscale American dining with a dog-friendly patio that adds to its charm, offering a peaceful escape in Dallas where you and your pup can dine in comfort.
Its airy layout and stylish design further elevate the experience, making it perfect for everything from romantic evenings to lively get-togethers.
I’m hooked on their lobster toast and the juicy bacon-wrapped chicken. Don’t skip the wagyu meatballs: bold, rich, and massive. Like the smoky, peppery Samurai Smoke, their cocktails bring real flair.
Service is smooth and attentive, and pricing fits the upscale-meets-casual setting. Extra perk? Head upstairs after your meal to explore a full-on samurai armor museum.

Must try if you haven’t already. Great place to have great conversations over even better food and drinks. Thank you to all the amazing staff and management for doing it best! Peter made sure everything was perfect.
I made online reservations and waited for my friend to get there but had my table ready at reservation time. Service was outstanding and I decided to try something different which I really enjoyed. Went afterwards upstairs to the museum and walked around for a bit. It's just such a lovely place to enjoy brunch.
I went to this restaurant with my brother today for the first time. Zach was our server and he was so pleasant, the food was superb and atmosphere was amazing. I asked him for like 5 cups of coffee and he did not disappoint once. Will definitely be back.
