FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE! This has got to be some kind of hidden gem because I had no idea it existed and only came across it because it was in walking distance of our hotel. We were seated in the pirates cove and served by Spider-Man and it was truly such an incredible experience! They had a balloon artist come around for the kids, autograph books for the character servers to sign, and a hilarious photo opportunity that you just HAVE to set $20 aside for, trust me. You’ll want those photos! The food was delicious and very reasonably priced! We expected an up-charge based on the experience around us but honestly the prices were the same as you’d pay at any other restaurant that wasn’t as fun. We will DEFINITELY be coming back here when we’re in town again!!

This was our first time at this location, we usually go to the Plano location. World of difference for the better!! Shout out to Ryan, great suggestions on drink and food, really cared about our service. Dustin is a great manager, knows what customer service is all about! The food was awesome, the homemade garlic Parmesan chips, and maple candied bacon were to DIE for! Nice variety of flavors and dishes, something for everyone. The atmosphere is perfect for a party of just chilling. I will definitely be back. They have a late night happy hour that looks delicious! Hope to see you there!

Maple Leaf Diner is a local favourite that brings big portions, bold flavours, and a nostalgic, family-friendly vibe to North Dallas.
Styled like a classic Canadian café with a touch of Southern charm, it’s a spot where both kids and adults feel right at home.
Their menu is full of comfort food hits, but the standout has to be the Chicken, Bacon & Waffles—crispy tenders stacked on golden waffles, topped with strawberries and served with syrup you’ll want to drink.
Kids love the chocolate chip pancakes too—fluffy, buttery, and loaded with melty chips that keep them smiling from the first bite.
Friendly staff, fair prices, and a casual setting make this dinner an easy choice for relaxed family outings.

Cenzo’s Pizza & Deli is a hidden gem tucked inside a converted gas station, with a chill, laid-back vibe and a roomy patio that makes it perfect for families.
The pizza? Massive foldable slices that kids absolutely love—seriously, one slice is practically a meal.
Adults will appreciate the creative combos too—my personal favourite is the Winnetka White Pie topped with spicy salami, gorgonzola, hot honey, and crisp arugula. The crust is thin, crispy, and perfectly balanced in flavour.
It’s a counter-service setup, so there’s no long wait—just walk up, order, and grab a table. Staff are friendly, the food comes out quick, and prices are solid for the quality.
Cenzo’s hits the sweet spot for laid-back, family-friendly dining that doesn’t compromise on flavour.

We wish we had come here sooner! Good beer selection, amazing sandwiches. The pizza looked delicious but we got the Italian beef and the cold Italian sandwich, both were incredible. Very fresh bread and and quality ingredients. Also loved the jus that came with the Italian beef sandwich. The patio is perfect and spacious. Very dog friendly. We will definitely bring the dogs next time.

Terry Black’s Barbecue is where smoky flavours, big portions, and casual vibes come together—making it one of the most fun places to eat in Dallas with the whole family.
From the moment you walk in, the smell of slow-smoked brisket and ribs pulls you straight to the counter.
The atmosphere is lively but laid-back, with plenty of space for kids to get comfortable and a solid kids’ menu that keeps younger diners happy.
The brisket is a standout—tender, juicy, and packed with flavour—while the beef ribs are so big, they’re practically a shared experience.
Kids tend to gravitate toward the smoked turkey, cornbread, and mac and cheese, and no one should leave without trying the warm peach cobbler.
Fast service, friendly staff, and a family-welcoming setup make Terry Black’s a top choice when you want great BBQ and a fun, relaxed dining experience for all ages.

In town for a couple nights and was TB’s was the place for Texas BBQ. Food definitely lived up to the hype. Brisket was tender and seasoned well. Sausage was good. Robb’s, good bite, good chew. Sauce was in coolers around dining room. Self serve white bread is plentiful. Banana pudding, Mac n cheese, green beans, and corn bread are delicious. Atmosphere is lively and positive. Only complaints are- the food isn’t hot, and it was $80 (including tip) for the tray. I wasn’t able to eat it all in one sitting, so it’s good they have Togo boxes. But even $80 for two meals is pricey. I’ll definitely be back and I’ll still highly recommend, but I’ll limit the portion size when they put it on the try next time.

Pie Tap Pizza Workshop + Bar is a go-to spot for families craving artisan pizza without sacrificing comfort or kid-friendliness.
It’s great for relaxed family meals, offering a hip yet welcoming vibe, a spacious dining area, and a breezy patio perfect for casual gatherings.
The Salami and Pepperoni Pizza is a hit with kids and adults alike—crispy, loaded with flavour, and made from a four-ingredient dough that’s light yet satisfying.
For something a little different, the Half Bird with cauliflower mash and roasted veggies is a surprising crowd-pleaser—even picky eaters dig in.
Even the salads feel elevated, especially the Workshop Salad, which balances freshness with bold flavour.
Service is another highlight: attentive, friendly, and even personal (our server remembered our kids’ names).

Pie Tap delivers an excellent brunch. The salmon board comes with several choices of toppings so you can configure your bite exactly how you want it. The French toast is a hearty portion and delicious. The potatoes on the bacon and egg breakfast had the right amount of spice and were surprisingly crunchy. Our server Day was top notch and made us feel like family. We sat outside on the spacious patio which provides good shade and protection from the wind. I highly recommend Pie Tap!

The ambiance is warm and stylish, with soft lighting, tiled floors, and an upbeat vibe that makes dinner feel special without being too formal.
Their family-style menu makes sharing easy and enjoyable, especially with generous portions of favourites like the rich, creamy Mac and Cheese or the flavour-packed crab pasta, loaded with chunks of King crab.
The cheese beignets are melty, indulgent, and so good they’re worth calling ahead for.

I think I found my new cute lunch/dinner date place ! The place itself is so cute and upscale. We went for lunch with our friends and sat in the bar area. We ordered the LDU Coffee espresso martinis and they are fantastic. We started with cheese beignets, and the zucchini chips and they were both soo good! The beignets were warm little pockets of cheese and the zucchini chips had this great seasoning on them that made them soo good! I ordered the turkey tzatziki wrap and it was very flavorful and perfect with the skinny fries. My mom got the patty melt and loved it- she said the flavors were perfect. Our waitress Trish was great! We really enjoy our time and cannot wait to go back for dinner and sit in the main dining

Sadelle’s blends classic brunch charm with a chic, New York-inspired vibe, making it one of the most stylish spots in Dallas for a family-friendly outing.
Located in Highland Park Village, it offers a bright, airy space with a beautiful patio that’s perfect on sunny days.
The French toast is a standout—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and absolutely crave-worthy. Kids love the tall stacks of blueberry pancakes, and even the breakfast tacos are full of bold, satisfying flavor.
Service can be a bit slow during busy brunch hours, but the staff remains friendly and accommodating. While the prices lean higher, the overall experience makes it well worth the visit.

Absolutely adored my experience at Sadelle’s! We went for a Brunch date and it did not disappoint. I ordered the House Salmon with Everything bagel with an iced salted caramel latté. My partner ordered the Leo Omelette with a side of potatoes and drip coffee. Everything was absolutely delicious! The star of the meal was their “Big Pink Cake” that we shared. Oh. My. Goodness. Dessert is my love language and that cake did not disappoint. It was truly one of the best desserts I’ve ever had and I promptly informed my partner that it had to be my birthday cake for all my future birthdays. Highly recommend Sadelle’s. Yes, it is a bit pricey, but worth it.

Original Market Diner delivers old-school comfort food with authentic diner charm, making it a go-to for families who want hearty meals in a laid-back setting.
Every plate feels like a warm hug, from the crispy hashbrowns to the fluffy pancakes stacked high.
The vibe is pure 1950s nostalgia—cozy booths, spinning pie cases, and fast, friendly service that keeps everything moving.
My go-to is the meatloaf sandwich with crisp fries, but the chicken and dumplings with rolls and cornbread might be the ultimate comfort combo.
Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the all-day breakfast is always a hit with kids. It gets busy on weekends, but the line moves quickly—and it’s worth the wait.

Our breakfast was so good! Everything was fresh, hot and delicious. Friendly staff and the restaurant has an old time diner feel! My wife had the Sam’s egg Benedict and I had the Mexican scramble. We also shared a short stack of pancakes. You can taste that everything is made with fresh ingredients and made to order. You have to eat here!! 5 stars!!!
