The Joule is truly one of a kind — a hotel where design, history, and culture come together in a way that is both sophisticated and soulful. From the moment you enter, you are welcomed into a space that feels more like an art installation than a typical hotel. The lobby is curated like a gallery, filled with colorful art that not only captivates but also tells the story of Dallas and the building’s unique heritage. The energy is bold, refined, and unmistakably Texan. The rooms are spectacular — high ceilings, carefully layered materials, and a stunning combination of textures like leather and textiles. The design is warm, luxurious, and intentionally understated. It is an appreciated style — subtle elegance that does not overwhelm but invites you in. Every detail feels thoughtfully placed, from the custom headboards to the calming color palettes. As an interior designer from Miami, I was inspired by how this hotel integrates architectural interiors with storytelling. It is rare to find a space that reflects not only a city’s aesthetic but also its emotional character. The Joule does just that — and more. It is a place where you do not just stay — you feel, experience, and remember.

Beautiful Property - they handle a lot of conventions. The hotel is directly attached to the Dallas Convention Center. They have several restaurants on site and a bar in the lobby. There is also a coffee shop with pop, wine etc. Although some reviews say that they have vending machines, they do not. The bar staff sold me a fountain coke (better anyway!) and they were great. Speaking of the staff, they were all fantastic. Room service was great, warm and tasty I did eat at a restaurant/sports bar in the hotel.and was very happy with my food. The pooI is beautiful and gives you a great view of the skyline. We were on a higher floor and a great view. It was very clean. We will definitely stay for our next convention.

Staff are beyond helpful as the conference attendees are persons with disabilities physical or visual impairment. An example of what it truly means to have both equity and equality in customer service and care. An ovation to the staff of this location and hosting this unique conference that brings 100s of people.

We came to the Fairmont Hotel for a quick 24-hour design trip and needed a comfortable, dog-friendly place to stay and this hotel delivered on all fronts. The property was clean, well-kept, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Our suite was spacious enough for both my partner and me plus our three dogs, which is not always easy to find. The room had everything we needed to feel at home for the night. Every interaction with staff was pleasant and professional. The bartender was great, and the overall service exceeded expectations but one person truly stood out: Estevan, the bellhop. He was the absolute star of the show. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, he went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. He was kind, detail-oriented, extremely helpful, and knowledgeable about both the hotel and surrounding area. It’s rare to come across someone so dedicated and passionate about their role. Estevan is truly a gem and made our short stay not only easier but genuinely enjoyable. Highly recommend the Fairmont for anyone traveling with pets or just looking for exceptional service and a comfortable stay. Ask for Estevan if you want to be in the best hands!

One of the best hotel experiences we've ever had. The service was amazing from the moment that we walked in. Friendly, accommodating, and very informative about the amenities and restaurant options. The place was very clean and beautiful. The rooms were spacious and had a fully stocked bar with snacks! There were personal messages left as well, which was a nice touch. The gym and pool amenities were outstanding. High quality, 24 hr gym, sauna, and cold tub. Rooftop pool area is beautiful and an amazing place to relax, or party on the weekend when it's packed!! Get there early for a cabana. Poolside food and drinks were great as well. The front desk staff also helped with a package that was late on delivery and had it dropped off a couple days later after checking out. Very helpful and much appreciated. Outstanding experience, we will definitely be back next time we are in Dallas.

We had an event to go to and decided to stay the night in Dallas and CANVAS Hotel happened to be next door so we booked a room for the night. This is one of the best places we have stayed at. The colorful art mixed with elegance and modern style made it simply beautiful. Then we went upstairs where the view was amazing, to say the least. Honestly, the vibe it gave throughout the entire Hotel, you didn't have to go anywhere else. CANVAS Hotel has it all, food, drinks, DJ and a roof top bar. We will definitely be coming back.

Beautiful hotel with rich history and a stunning lobby/lounge area. Princess at the front desk was outstanding—friendly, helpful, and genuinely thoughtful. The City Hall Bistro was also excellent. My room was spacious and beautifully decorated, complete with branded touches like an embroidered bathrobe. I was staying during a large conference that I wasn’t part of, but the hotel still made sure all guests were well taken care of. My only minor critique is the toiletries. While I don’t mind the wall-mounted dispensers, the products themselves didn’t quite match the luxurious feel of the rest of the experience.

Love the old school vibe -- you kinda do feel like you're stepping back in time here. That said, the rooms could use some updating. A couple of the old-school light switches in our room were broken and the ones that weren't were difficult to read. The drapes also didn't fully block the windows (but we still got pretty good nights of sleep). The staff was terrific -- very helpful telling us about the area and helping us get where we needed to go. Valet service was generally very fast. The on-site restaurants were great, too -- we had breakfast at Over Easy and one dinner at Scout. Great food and service.

The hotel was lovely. Good location. I especially want to highlight the valet attendants, they were wonderful, friendly, efficient, and made arriving and leaving a breeze. The only thing I didn’t love was the $69 per night valet fee, which felt a bit steep. Other than that, everything else was great!
