Introduction

Happy Chicks Austin is one of the many go to spots in Austin and serves perfectly cooked fried chicken. They make their signature 15 sauces fresh every day that allows for limitless flavor combinations that pair perfectly with their widely loved chicken. (And equally as good vegan option!)

Established in late 2017, Happy Chicks has since paved their way to be one of the best chicken-based restaurants in Austin. Its casual yet trendy environment makes it the perfect place to sit down and enjoy some top-notch chicken.

Happy Chick Menu

The Happy Chicks menu is simple, but still has enough options that everyone will have something to enjoy. Their menu (obviously) is centered around chicken and offers different crispy chicken tender combos, wraps, sandwiches, and of course chicken nuggets, all of which range from around $8 to $17.

On top of your chicken of choice, Happy Chicks gives you the choice of original, spicy, grilled, or vegan, all for no additional price.

The flavor options don’t stop there, because, on top of THAT, you have 15 signature sauces to dip your meal of choice in. Happy Chicks house made sauces are all across the board, from raspberry chipotle to country gravy to honey sriracha (My personal favorite is avocado poblano).

If you are looking to keep it lighter, there are two salad options that still allow you to experience the deliciousness that is Happy Chicks.

To sip with your meal, Happy Chicks offers four craft cocktails (only available at their 6th street location) along with wine and beer.

This menu is the gift that keeps on giving, to go alongside your personalized chicken meal, Happy Chicks has sides that you won’t be able to say no to. They’ve got bacon mac and cheese, roasted cream corn, french fries, tortilla soup, and a fruit cup (props to you if you choose fruit over french fries, that takes willpower).

Now that you’ve got your chicken (or salad), special sauce, and delectable side, you might as well indulge in a dessert too. Take your pick between Happy Chicks’ chocolate chunk cookies or gooey butter cake.

Private Event

Aside from serving top-of-the-line food, Happy Chicks is also available for private events. Along with their two locations, Happy Chicks has two sister restaurants, all of which can be reserved for a special event.

One of the partner restaurants, BBG’s, is a sports bar right next to the Happy Chicks on 6th Street Austin and is perfect for watch parties, bachelor parties, and more.

If you are looking for a more quaint, intimate atmosphere, Happy Chicks’ other sister restaurant is a hidden speakeasy! This scene is cozy and dark, perfect for birthdays or happy hours.

No matter the type of event you’re having, Happy Chicks can pull it off, and pull it off well. Fill out the form on the private event page of the Happy Chicks website for pricing.

Catering

Happy Chicks catering couldn’t be easier. They offer regular and vegan box lunches for $12 to $14, but if you are really trying to have a party, your best bet is ordering their trays of chicken tenders. You can personalize your order with different sauces and choose between vegan, spicy, grilled, or original tenders. Happy Chicks chicken tender trays go for $55 for 25, $95 for 50, $140 for 75, and $185 for 100.

You of course will need sides to go with the chicken (that is a must), and you can get a full tray of bacon mac and cheese or roasted cream corn for $90, or a full tray of french fries for $60. They also offer half trays and individual servings so you can get the perfect amount for the size of your party.

Sadly, no wine or beer is available for catering, but you can still finish off your order the right way with a dessert platter for $40 and a gallon or two of tea or lemonade for $13 to $15.

Location + Opening and Closing Hours

Happy Chicks has two Austin locations, their newest addition is in North Austin on Burnet Road and is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. The other location sits smack in the middle of the bar district on 6th Street, and is open from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Truly perfect for any late-night hunger you may have after hitting some clubs. (Hey, we’ve all been there).

Online Order Process

Happy Chicks wants to satisfy its customers anyway it can, so they offer takeout and delivery from both locations. For either, it’s as simple as creating your perfect order, inputting what they ask, and paying. The hardest part is having to wait for your mouth-watering chicken to be ready or delivered!

Conclusion

Whether you like spicy or sweet, nuggets or tenders, or even chicken or vegan, Happy Chicks is a fail-safe option for delectable food. With so many different sauces, sides, and drinks to choose from, Happy Chicks will keep you coming back to try them all.

You can customize your order in a multitude of ways, ensuring you a perfect, affordable meal. Happy Chicks truly has no faults and has something for everyone, so what more do you need to read?
