Spurs Returning to Austin in 2024 to Moody Center for ‘I-35 Series’

August 18, 2023

The Spurs’ Era of Victor Wembanyama is Upon Us and what’s even better is that Victor and the crew will be headed to Austin next spring.

What

The San Antonio Spurs will return to Austin during its regular season schedule in 2023-24. The Spurs, along with all other 29 NBA teams, released their schedules Thursday and will play two games at Moody Center in March in the second year of the I-35 Series.

When

The Spurs will take on the Denver Nuggets March 15 and then the Brooklyn Nets  March 17. Both games are part of the Spurs’ regular season schedule and the Spurs will be the designated home team. In last year’s inaugural I-35 Series, the Spurs battled it out with the  Portland Trail Blazers and  Minnesota Timberwolves. Last year the Spurs activated around SXSW and had many community events that were free to the public  – we anticipate they will do the same this year.

Tickets for the I-35 Series go on sale at 10 a.m., Sept. 15. Season ticket holders and members of the official Spurs fan club will have access to presale tickets Sept. 13.

Season Outlook

On the up and up.

The Spurs need Wembanyama to take them to the next level, and this team puts him in the best position of any to fly. After an unfamiliar, non-competitive season in which they embraced the tank and finished with the third-worst record in franchise history at 22-60, each of those 60 losses now feels worth the wait. Once again, the future is bright in San Antonio and Austin. We can’t wait for the season to be here.
