Best Mexican Vacation Destinations from Texas

Summer is just around the corner, and I think that calls for a small vacation. Mexico has some of the best destinations to go to this summer and I wanted to share some of the few that are in my bucket list. I personally cannot wait for the sun tanning, the smell of fresh water, and all the great music that these islands have to offer! I hope you’re ready to pack your bags and buy your plane ticket because these will make you want to do just that.

1. Cancun, Mexico

Cancun, Mexico

Not only does Cancun have beautiful beaches, but it also has a great nightlife. The Hotel Zone is known to be the perfect spot for good resorts, restaurants, and of course, the bars. You also have to visit downtown Cancun on your stay there. It provides a little bit of culture, the delicious street food we all love, small shops, and apparently also Mexican wrestling!

2. Tulum, Mexico

Tulum, Mexico

The beaches in Tulum are known to be extremely gorgeous and peaceful! The water is extremely blue and the sand is warm and soft all around. I’ve also heard that it is a must to go to the Cenotes while you are here and you can’t forget to visit the Ancient Mayan ruins so that you also get to see more of the culture! And, they also have great places where you can go zip-lining!

3. Playa del Carmen, México

Playa del Carmen, México

Although this one is smaller than Cancun, there is still so much to do. Playa del Carmen also has so many Cenotes you have to visit if you ever travel here and their nightlife is great! Coco Bongo is known to be one of the best night clubs to go to when you are there! Plus, there is also the opportunity to go ocean parasailing! It does not get any better than this.

4. Cozumel, Mexico

Cozumel, Mexico

I have personally been to Cozumel before and I 100% would recommend for anyone to go here! The water and sand were so beautiful and soft, it was definitely such a peaceful view. The nightlife and food was amazing to say the least. I would highly suggest going on a tequila tour in the plaza! The small shops and restaurants in the plaza are to die for, and you can’t forget to take a picture in front of the famous Isla Cozumel sign in the middle of the plaza!

5. Isla Mujeres, Mexico

Isla Mujeres, Mexico

I have heard such good things about Isla Mujeres’ turquoise water and I am honestly dying to go see it with my own eyes. While you’re here it is a must to rent a golf car in order to admire the entire island. Your first stop has to be Playa Norte, the view here is immaculate. You must also stop at Tortugranja to see the rescued sea turtles and at Garrafon Natural Reef Park for some zip-lining and snorkeling. Plus, if you go between June to mid-September you can even swim with white sharks!
