McGuire Moorman Hospitality opened Joann’s on South Congress in 2018, it has since become one of our top restaurants in the South Congress.

The Ambiance of the Restaurant

As vibrant as its surroundings, Joann’s Fine Foods in Autin has a cozy and classic atmosphere with plenty of colorful and nostalgic photo ops. Inside has a vintage feel, with standard diner booths, wood-paneled walls, and old photographs. The patio is much more modern with lush greenery and vivid stained glass. Together the patio and dining room combine nostalgia and modernity to create a unique ambiance.

Joann’s Fine Foods serves breakfast Monday through Friday from 8 am to 11 am and all day on weekends. Their breakfast menu offers both American diner classics as well as Mexican-style options, but unlike a typical diner, Joann’s also offers health-conscious items.

On the diner side of the breakfast menu, the Motel Platter comes with a short stack of Barton Springs Mill red corn pancakes, your choice of meat, two eggs any style, and hashbrowns. This American classic with an Austin twist is sure to be a crowd favorite. The Mexican breakfast menu boasts Migas and a barbacoa plate, each served with Joann’s famous homemade corn or flour tortillas. On Monday through Friday from 11 am to 10 pm and on weekends from 4 pm to 10 pm, Joann’s Fine Foods serves their all-day menu. This extensive menu includes light appetizers such as red snapper ceviche and tajin topped cucumber fingers. The most notable starter is the green pea guacamole, an unusual take on the Mexican classic, the guacamole is served with queso fresco and tostadas.

The star of this lunch and dinner entrees are the pecan wood-fired fajitas. With multiple protein options as well as vegetarian-friendly tofu mushroom fajitas, the sizzling platter is served with queso, rajas, beans, and your choice of freshly made flour or corn tortillas.
