Six Year Later We Return to The Line Hotel LA
Nestled in the heart of Koreatown, The Line Hotel offers an unparalleled location that immerses you in one of Los Angeles’ most vibrant and culturally rich neighborhoods. With its central placement, you’re just steps away from an eclectic mix of restaurants, shops, and nightlife, making it the perfect base for exploring the city. During our recent weekend stay, we were thrilled to return to this familiar spot, having last visited in 2018. The sense of familiarity coupled with the excitement of rediscovering this dynamic area was palpable. The hotel’s proximity to major attractions like downtown LA, the Arts District, and Hollywood allowed us to easily navigate the city and maximize our time exploring. Whether you’re using public transit, ride-shares, or simply walking, The Line’s location is a prime starting point for any LA adventure.
Accommodations
Our queen bed room at The Line Hotel was a true sanctuary, offering a blend of modern design and comfort with an urban edge. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by floor-to-ceiling windows that showcased breathtaking views of Hollywood and its iconic sign, a sight that never fails to inspire. The room’s minimalist yet chic decor, with industrial touches and warm wood accents, created a calming atmosphere that felt both stylish and welcoming. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making it easy to recharge after a day filled with LA’s hustle and bustle. The room also featured thoughtful amenities, such as a curated minibar, high-quality linens, and a well-designed workspace, making it an ideal retreat whether you’re in town for business or pleasure. Waking up each morning to the sun-drenched hills of Hollywood was a magical experience that set a positive tone for the day ahead.

Openaire
Dining at the on-site restaurant, Openaire, was one of the standout experiences of our stay at The Line. The restaurant, set in a lush greenhouse-like space, offered a serene escape from the city’s fast pace. With two Michelin-starred chef Josiah Citrin at the helm, the menu was a delightful blend of California-inspired cuisine with a focus on fresh, locally-sourced ingredients.

We indulged in a leisurely dinner, savoring dishes that were as visually stunning as they were delicious. The ambiance was relaxed yet sophisticated, with greenery all around and natural light flooding the space, making it a perfect spot for a long, enjoyable meal. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and eager to provide recommendations. Whether you’re in the mood for a casual meal or a special occasion, Openaire offers an exceptional dining experience that is not to be missed.

Surrounding Vibes
One of the undeniable perks of staying at The Line Hotel is its proximity to some of the best Korean food in the city. Koreatown is renowned for its incredible array of authentic Korean restaurants, and we made it a point to explore as many as possible during our stay. From classic Korean BBQ spots, where the meat is grilled right at your table, to trendy, modern eateries offering creative takes on traditional dishes, the neighborhood is a food lover’s paradise. We indulged in everything from sizzling bulgogi and savory kimchi to hearty bowls of bibimbap and refreshing soju cocktails. Each meal was a culinary adventure, offering a deep dive into the rich flavors and vibrant food culture of Korea. The convenience of having such a diverse selection of top-notch restaurants within walking distance of the hotel added an extra layer of enjoyment to our stay, making The Line Hotel not just a place to rest, but a gateway to some of the best dining experiences Los Angeles has to offer.
