10+ Best Fitness Classes in Houston That Deliver Real Results

713 Pilates is an intimate Pilates studio in Montrose with great instructors and top of the line equipment.

The studio has seven Allegro Balanced Body Reformers, Peak Pilates Wunda Chairs, and one Allegro Balanced Body Tower Reformer. These machines are primarily used in the Pilates Equipment Group Class, which is offered every day of the week.

The classes at 713 Pilates are small. They take a maximum of seven people, which may seem scary if you don’t want eyes on you while working out, but it is actually beneficial. This way, the instructors are able to attend to individual clients and their needs.

713 Pilates has many different pricing options that include class packages and monthly memberships. The studio offers private, dual, and semi-private sessions as well, but these are by appointment only.

It’s recommended that you take a private pilates lesson before beginning the group if you’ve never used a reformer before. They offer these lessons in-house for new clients at only $50 a session.

Please check out 713 Pilates and their Pilates Equipment Group class if you want a classic low-impact reformer experience!

Method Pilates blends classic Pilates with strength training to build muscle and tone the body using innovative techniques. If you want to get your heart pumping on that reformer, this is the workout for you.

The method has two studios in Houston and only one in Austin. The Houston studios are in Montrose and River Oaks. They each have different schedules, so make sure to check online to see what classes are offered at which time.

Method’s signature session is their 50-minute Method Reformer class. It’s for all skill levels and is made to sculpt the body in a safe and controlled manner on a classic Pilates reformer.

They also offer one-of-a-kind specialty classes, like the hilariously-named Butts Tight AF, which – as you can probably guess – is designed to work those glutes into shape.

Intro classes are $20, so you have no excuse not to stop Method Pilates at least once. Their unlimited membership starts at $255 a month if you get hooked. Which, I’m sorry, but you totally will.

FORM Lagree is a great place to take a crack at everyone’s new favorite core-building method, Lagree. If you want muscle, this is a workout for you.

If there is one thing Lagree people will tell you, it’s that it’s NOT pilates. Both are low-impact, but Lagree focuses more on intense movement. The discipline utilizes tried and true bodybuilding training techniques and a megaformer, which is different from your typical Pilates reformer.

FORM Legree uses the spring-based tension of the megaformer to provide tension without weights. Workouts are performed atop the adjustable machine, which is designed to build strength at varying degrees.

FORM Legree offers many different classes, including ones based on training individual body groups like Leg Wrap + Back, Outer Glutes + Triceps, and Inner Thighs + Biceps. Their flagships, however, are the Mega FORM and Mega CORE classes.

Mega FORM focuses more on precise movements and building endurance, while Mega CORE is all about building those core muscles. Every class at FORM Legree will get you sweating, so make sure to try out this new way to get built.

ONESWEAT has a big thing, and that’s HIIT Classes. They offer wellness treatments and reformer Pilates at some specific locations as well, but it’s their HIIT that makes them unique.

HIIT stands for high-intensity interval training. It’s a very fast-paced process, with short recovery periods in between workouts. HIIT rotates its user through cardio and stretch training, which at ONESWEAT, looks like alternating between the treadmill and the floor.

Treadmill sessions include sprints, endurance runs, and sled pushes, all of which you can personally adjust the speed for. On the floor, you’ll find three sets of dumbbells along with other equipment designed to help build lean muscle.

This class is a great option for those looking for strength training while also wishing they could do cardio at the same time. ONESWEAT is highly recommended over here!

This is where you go for a premier fitness experience. Ritual One started in Dallas, where it quickly became beloved by the public as a state-of-the-art studio nestled somewhat hidden within its thriving gym scene.

The Houston location opened recently in early 2025 and has stolen the hearts of Houstonian workout junkies just like it did in the junkies in Dallas.

Ritual One is pretty nice, with its luxurious bathrooms and shock-absorbent flooring. It’s one of the better places in Houston to get a full-body workout. This spot has a lot of neat stuff, but the coolest thing about Ritual One has to be its infrared heating system.

The absolute heatwave they’ve got going on inside the studio is supposed to increase blood flow, raise heart rates, boost metabolism, burn calories, reduce inflammation, and stimulate cardiovascular systems to promote detoxification. That’s a lot, right?

The best thing is that all these benefits can be paired with their appropriately named Inferno HIIT and Power Sculpt classes, both designed to work your major and minor muscle groups for strength and toning. It’s time to turn the heat up at Ritual One.

6. DUO Houston - Autry Park: Coffee, Pilates, Indoor Cycling

DUO Houston - Autry Park: Coffee, Pilates, Indoor Cycling

3737 Cogdell St Suite 180, Houston, TX 77019, United States

This fitness studio offers Pilates and cycling, but if you’ve checked their TikTok, you know the bikes are the current rage at this neon oasis. That’s why Duo’s in the wheels section despite their various options for workout classes.

DUO’s cycling sessions remind us of a heart-pumping rave on a bike, complete with multicolor LED lights and music spilling out of the speakers at full volume. It’s the exact opposite of a chill or low-key experience. You are there to ride full speed into the leg ache of a decade.

While it’s true DUO has multiple studios in Houston, cycling is unfortunately only available at the Autry Park location at this time. Duo’s indoor cycling only started up in 2024, so it’s fairly new.

Duo also has its in-studio cafe! You can order fruit-filled smoothies, milky lattes, and even small pastries. Duo Coffee is a great place on its own to sip, but it’s even better after a long workout.

Make sure to give Duo a try the next time you’re itching for a high-intensity bike ride!

  • Good for: Coffee, Happy-Hour, Cycling
  • Suitable for: Friends and Small Groups

RYDE has been a pioneer in Houston’s indoor cycling scene since 2015, operating out of the River Oaks Shopping Center. Back when boutique fitness was still gaining momentum, RYDE was already setting the standard for high-energy group workouts.

Today, as fitness studios multiply across the city, RYDE remains a top choice for spin enthusiasts. The studio offers two formats: a 45-minute ride and a more intense 60-minute session—both designed to challenge and energize.

Expect a dark, club-like setting, energizing playlists, and passionate instructors who push you to your limits. It’s an intense, rhythm-based ride that’s as fun as it is effective.

Don’t miss Latin Nights every Tuesday, where riders spin to lively Latin music—a unique and beloved tradition that adds serious flair to your weekly workout.

CYCLEBAR is the only national chain on this list—a testament to its consistent quality and strong reputation. With multiple locations across Houston, it’s a convenient choice for anyone looking to make indoor cycling part of their daily fitness routine.

A standout feature is CycleStats, a performance-tracking system that records your metrics during each class. It helps riders monitor their progress over time, keeping them motivated and focused on their fitness goals.

The studio offers various class formats, but the Classic Ride remains a fan favorite. It combines hill climbs, endurance drills, and speed challenges to build both strength and stamina.

While CYCLEBAR studios are found nationwide, the experience is reliably top-tier—no matter which location you visit. And yes, your legs will feel it the next day.

The Studio BE implements elements of the disciple into every fiber of their being. The location’s main focus is optimal wellness, which they achieve through mixed workouts that are hard to fit into a box.

The studio implements elements of mat pilates, aerial, prenatal, and strength training in a variety of classes, but yoga will always be present in some way or another when you walk into The Studio BE.

BE FLOW is an alignment-based flow class that’s unique from your typical Vinyasa routine. It has yogi move their muscles in unique ways.

BE ZEN is a yin-based class that is more your traditional yoga experience. It emphasizes flexibility in the muscles, joints, and mind.

PiYo is an exercise program that combines pilates and yoga. The Studio BE class BE SCULPTED is basically an upgraded version of PiYo that incorporates barre as well. This is the class you want to take if a toned-up body is what you’re looking for.

The Studio BE has so many great traditional and yoga-adjacent classes. We challenge you to give each of them a try.

Soul Tribes takes a much gentler approach when it comes to yoga. Their studio isn’t heated, and there is no high-intensity workout to watch out for when signing up.

The focus here is less on muscle-building and more on muscle awareness. Soul Tribes’ approach to yoga improves mobility, balance, and joint alignment. Mindful breathing is incorporated into every session.

Seed is an entry-level class that embraces stillness above all else. It’s their only Yin Yoga class and is lovingly referred to as “sleepy stretching” by the people over at Soul Tribes. Passive poses are held for an extended period of time to calm the nervous system and mind.

Bloom explores the fundamentals of Vinyasa Flow, a very popular yoga style that links breath with movement. The “flow” in Vinyasa Flow refers to the slow, continuous movement between the different poses you take.

Thrive is Soul Tribes’ more advanced class. It’s a traditional Vinyasa Flow session that requires a solid understanding of poses and movement.

Soul Tribes is our studio recommendation for anyone just starting out in the boutique fitness world. They are so welcoming and kind that it would be a crime not to give them a chance.
