To celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary, my husband and I chose Truluck’s, which is an upscale seafood restaurant located in Uptown Dallas

We arrived 30 minutes ahead of our reservation, and the hostess was welcoming, seating us right away at our requested spot on the second floor.

The atmosphere was intimate and relaxed, with soft lighting and mellow music, making it a perfect setting for a romantic evening. Our table was beautifully set with red roses, an anniversary card, and heart-shaped confetti—a thoughtful touch that made us feel extra special.

Our server was exceptional; he took the time to explain the menu and guide us through the evening. We started with a round of drinks: I chose the refreshing Pomegranate Martini, while my husband enjoyed the classic Old Fashioned. Both drinks were expertly crafted, and we were especially fond of the Pomegranate Martini’s tart yet smooth taste.

For our appetizers, we shared the Lobster Bisque. The Bisque had just the right balance of flavors and a generous amount of lobster meat.

We selected the famous Truluck’s Stone Crab Claws for our main courses, which are known for their sweetness and freshness. They were served with perfectly roasted Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes.

We also tried Truluck’s Crab Fried Rice, a dish bursting with flavor and loaded with fresh crab meat, giving it a satisfying texture and taste.

Their signature dessert is the Chocolate Lava Cake. The warm, gooey center paired with vanilla ice cream made for a perfect ending to our celebration.

Truluck’s provided an unforgettable anniversary experience with exceptional food, outstanding service, and a romantic atmosphere. We’re already looking forward to returning for another special occasion.

I visited The Boiling Crab for the first time and had an unforgettable experience.

I arrived just as they opened to avoid waiting, which was a great decision because the place fills up fast.

The atmosphere was casual and fun, perfect for a laid-back meal. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better.

I started with the crab fries, which were so delicious. They were crispy, golden, and packed with flavor. After that, I ordered two pounds of crawfish with a mix of all three of their signature sauces. The crawfish was huge and juicy with the right amount of spice. It was so satisfying, and I enjoyed each bite.

The place also offers other seafood options like shrimp and snow crab, and I heard their boils are a hit with customers. The tables are covered with paper, and they bring the food out in a plastic bag, which adds to the fun of eating with your hands and digging into the flavors. The Cajun-style fries were crispy and seasoned just right, a perfect side to my meal.

One thing I really loved about The Boiling Crab was how cozy it felt, despite being busy. There’s a fun, relaxed vibe with friendly service, and the food comes out fast, making it a perfect spot for a tasty and casual meal with friends or family.

Overall, it’s easy to see why this place has such a great reputation. The food is fresh, flavorful, and satisfying.

I went to Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen with a friend to celebrate her birthday with a special dinner.

Even though it was busy, we got a table quickly, and the place felt lively and fun.

Our waiter was super nice and helpful. I started with a drink called the Swampthing, it was colorful, fruity, and tasted great! Later, I tried the Cat-30 Hurricane, which was refreshing and added a tropical flavor to the meal.

For our appetizer, we shared the Seafood Gumbo. It was warm, spicy, and filled with shrimp and sausage, which tasted amazing. For my main dish, I chose the Grilled Tilapia & Jumbo Shrimp. The fish was soft, the shrimp was juicy, and the lemon butter sauce added a really nice taste.

We ended the meal with a Key Lime Pie for dessert. It was sweet and a little sour, which was a perfect ending to our dinner.

Overall, the food was tasty, the atmosphere was fun, and our waiter made us feel welcome. I’d definitely recommend this Michelin Star restaurant to seafood lovers.

6. The Crab Station - Walnut Dallas

9780 Walnut St #270, Dallas, TX 75243

I was craving fresh seafood and decided to visit The Crab Station (Walnut Dallas) on a busy Friday night.

To my surprise, there was no wait, which immediately piqued my curiosity. I started with garlic parmesan wings, and they were absolutely delicious.

I went with live crawfish for the main course and was blown away by how fresh and flavorful it was. The taste was just right, with a nice kick of spice that didn’t overpower the taste of the crawfish. I also added sausage, corn, and boiled eggs.

Moreover, I ordered a pound of frozen crawfish. The live crawfish definitely stood out in its richer flavor.

For dessert, I ordered a refreshing strawberry lemonade, which was just the right balance of sweet and tart. And I couldn’t pass up the fries—they were crispy, hot, and full of flavor, definitely some of the best fries I’ve had in a while.

The service was top-notch. My server, who wore glasses, was attentive and made sure I had everything I needed while sharing some interesting tips about crawfish season.

I decided to visit Ocean Prime with a close friend, and we were both completely blown away by the entire experience. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by the sleek, elegant atmosphere.

The rooftop dining area added a stunning touch, offering breathtaking views that perfectly complemented our meal.

We started off with the Point Judith Calamari, and it was everything I opted for a crispy, fresh, and paired with a sweet chili sauce that had the perfect balance of heat and sweetness.

Next, we both tried the Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli, and wow—this dish was amazing. My friend couldn’t stop talking about how good it was.

For the main course, I chose Sea Scallops served over a bed of Parmesan risotto. The scallops were cooked just right—tender and sweet, and perfectly complemented by the creamy risotto.

We finished the meal with dessert, and let me tell you, the Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie was a game-changer. It looked simple, but once I took a bite, it tasted like a gourmet version of a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, and I couldn’t get enough of it. My friend had the carrot cake, and he couldn’t stop raving about how moist and flavorful it was.

The service was excellent throughout the meal. Our server offered great recommendations, which made the experience even better. The private dining room we were in was spacious and had plenty of natural light, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

I had the pleasure of dining at Hook Line & Sinker, and it was an experience worth sharing!

The food here is not only fresh but also served quickly, which is perfect for a casual, enjoyable meal.

The service really stands out as well; the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming—something you don’t always get in busy Uptown, so it was a refreshing touch.

We started with their ceviche, a nice, flavorful appetizer with just the right kick of spice. Their Mexican seafood cocktail was equally good, offering a perfect balance between fresh ingredients and a touch of heat. For the main course, we shared the catfish basket. The fish arrived hot, crispy, and perfectly seasoned, making it a standout dish.

I was also able to try their chargrilled oysters during happy hour, and let me tell you, they were a treat! Smoky, flavorful, and cooked just right, they left me wanting more. I’ll definitely be back to Hook Line & Sinker soon to try more of their seafood dishes.
