La Barbeque was started by Chef Ali Clem and her wife LeAnn Mueller, who transformed a small food trailer into the place it is today, a Michelin Star restaurant that is consistently named an Austin staple in the barbeque department.
Keep in mind that they get very busy with a line that wraps around the restaurant, so be sure to get there early or be ready to wait; you can also place a to-go order online in advance.

I’ve been trying to try this place for a while. We went later in the day one day and they were sold out of almost everything. Tried again today got there at 11:30 am and waited until 1:15pm. They service one group at a time, provide umbrellas for the heat or rain, and after a long HOT wait we finally got in and we were provided with a sample of the brisket. Initially I was hot but after we ate, we left so happy. Kind staff and AMAZING food! Definitely worth the wait.

I ordered a few pies to celebrate an occasion and they were delivered via DoorDash. The pies were cute and delicious and arrived very quickly. I’m more impressed with the fruit pies than the ones filled with pastry cream. My surprise favorite was the Coconut Cream pie and Cherry pie; my least favorite was the Mint Chocolate

She found her passion for baking while working in San Antonio and decided to bring the business to Austin, where it has now been a James Beard Foundation semi-finalist twice.
While you can see the menu online, the best way to decide which pastries you want is by going in person. They operate until sold out, so if you want to get the first pick, be sure to get there early!

Comadre Panadería is simply the best pan dulce I have ever had. When I first tried Mariela’s pan five years ago, her work was already a 12 out of 10 amazing but over the years she and her crew have continued to innovate and experiment to the point where the quality of their pan is breathtaking. I am so grateful to be in community with these folks. Thanks for feeding us 🩷

I had such an amazing experience here, the girlies at the store were so sweet. They showed me around the store, I got to learn so much more of what goes on there. They’re always having a bunch of events, they support several nonprofit organizations, and they even have a wall where they sell local art by other artists. Very cute spot. I’m in love with my forever bracelet, it was super easy and quick to get. They have so many charm options. You wanna take them all.

We recently had Remodel Boutique renovate our home, and we are so happy with the overall transformation. The major elements of the renovation turned out beautifully, and the design truly brought our vision to life. The team was creative and responsive to our ideas, which made the process collaborative and exciting. While there were a few small challenges along the way, the team always made sure to address our concerns and work with us to make things right. The end result is a beautiful, refreshed space that we’re proud of, and we appreciate the hard work that went into it. We would recommend Remodel Boutique to anyone looking for a home transformation and appreciate their dedication to creating a space that feels truly ours.

Purple Fig is hands down the best cleaning experience I’ve had in Austin! We were gone when the crew left and when we came home the place smelled amazing and felt so fresh. They were quick, thorough, and left a kind note and bottle of their custom cleaning solution! We had Preston, Pancho, Heather, and Noelle and were very impressed with their punctuality and communication. 10/10 would recommend

After receiving a mold remediation protocol that would have had us spending tens of thousands of dollars, Rick was kind enough to give us a thorough walk through of the home and did a thorough testing of our air quality, determining that the protocol we were given was more than what was necessary. Here he had the opportunity to paint a picture of "gloom and doom" and make tens of thousands of dollars for his company, but instead chose the path of integrity. I would highly recommend Rick and Fusion Environmental for both their integrity and understanding of the process of dealing with mold.
