About The Pitch
Opened in February of this year, The Pitch is the perfect destination to cheer on your favorite futbol club and enjoy an evening out with friends and family. Located in the Palmer Pond District of Austin, The Pitch is the home of Austin FC fans from around the city and is even located right next to the club’s training facility. Along with a venue to watch a great competition The Pitch has a variety of amazing food and drink options in four restaurants, two bars, and a coffee shop.
The Food
Ranger Burger
Using 100% Wagyu beef, Ranger Burger lets the meat talk for itself by putting out mouthwatering classic burgers. The restaurant also prepares juicy and tender fried chicken and grilled chicken sandwiches stacked with a tangy Cholula slaw and homemade pickles. Along with Wagyu burgers and chicken sandwiches Ranger Burger also has a veggie burger option.
Smoke Show BBQ Melts
Some of the best melts I’ve ever had, Smoke Show BBQ shows that low and slow is the way to go when preparing BBQ. The restaurant offers Brisket Melts with pickled jalapeno, carrot relish, and Oaxaca cheese, Classic Pulled Pork Sandwiches with red onion, dill pickles, and tangy BBQ sauce all on a challah bun, and my favorite the Pulled Pork Melt with pickled mustard greens, white cheddar, and Oaxaca cheese. Smoke Show also has a veggie melt with pickled jalapeno, carrot relish, charred slaw, and Oaxaca cheese. Their side options are just as incredible, preparing spicy crispy vegetables, sausage wraps, and hill country potato salad.
Taco Flats
An Austin staple, Taco Flats brings Tex-Mex to The Pitch with their tasty tacos and classic sides. The restaurant offers nine different kinds of tacos that are all sure to hit the spot. Prepared with spit-roasted pork, my favorite is the Al Pastor taco which is full of flavor and complemented perfectly by chunks of fresh pineapple.
Ga Roti Vietnamese
Bringing Asian flavors to The Pitch, Ga Roti offers vermicelli and rice bowls as well as a classic Vietnamese dish, Banh Mi. The protein of choice for Ga Roti is chicken flavored by their lemongrass, ginger, Thai chile, fish sauce and coconut vinegar marinade.
The Drink
Corner Kick Bar
Watching a game is always better with a beverage in hand and the Corner Kick Bar has everything you could desire to quench your thirst. Preparing signature cocktails in the Prickly Kicker and classics in the Moscow Mule this bar is sure to satisfy. Along with masterfully made cocktails, the Corner Kick Bar offers wine, seven beers on tap, and a wide range of canned beer and seltzer.
Sand Bar
For the days when the Texas heat is making its presence, the Sand Bar is there to cool you down preparing frozen Pina Coladas, Strawberry Daiquiris, and frozen swirl which is a mix of the two. Along with frozen drinks, the Sand Bar makes refreshing tropical cocktails in the Pitch Punch, Mai Tai and many more.
The Fun
The perfect place to watch a soccer game The Pitch has a massive projector that airs games every day and regardless of who you’re cheering for, The Pitch is cheering too! If the competition on screen is fueling your own The Pitch has two pickleball courts where you can challenge a friend or just play for fun. Right behind the projector is a sand soccer pitch that will be opening soon for people to show their skills and play the game The Pitch loves just a few hundred yards from the Austin FC training facility. The Pitch also has four pods that can be reserved for parties, business meetings, or whatever you’d like to bring a group of people together for.
