Our Blackland Distillery Experience

We recently had the experience of attending The Blackland Distillery event with the owner, Markus Kypreos. We were thrilled to join them for their happy hour over at Tiger Lily’s private speakeasy. We had the experience to try out their signature cocktail menu. Blackland Distillery is known for its brand and whiskey known as Texpresso. We also had the opportunity to try out their pecan brown sugar bourbon. This event offered a variety of cocktail flavors, making it flexible for anyone who is particular about their cocktail flavor. Hosting this event at Tiger Lilly was the perfect spot for a relaxing ambience vibe with a dim, cozy atmosphere. Along with their amazing, flavorful cocktails, we were able to enjoy an all-you-can-eat grazing board with customized engraving from our complimentary Texpresso Martini Kit.

The Vibes

We can’t get over the ambiance at Tiger Lilly’s and its private speakeasy lounge. When you first walk in, you will see the bar with a disco ball right above your head, giving it a luxurious feel. You will be amazed by the floral staircase by where we ended up checking in to the speakeasy. The interior was mainly covered in vintage decor, with velvet green curtains for a more upscale look. Lights were dimmed for a perfect cozy evening to enjoy our complimentary drinks.

The Drinks

All of their drinks were amazing, but personal favorites were the Texpresso Mrtini and Grden Party Cocktail. The Texpresso Martini included its infamous whiskey known as Blackland Texpresso and the flavor of fresh espresso. Garden Party was known for its Blackland vodka, St Germaine, lime juice, and cucumber, making it the perfect drink for those who desire fruity flavors. We would say that the drinks were ten out of ten, along with other cocktails known as the Paper Plane and Salted Pecan Old Fashioned drinks. Lastly, to enjoy with your drink of choice, we were able to enjoy a huge grazing board of cheese, crackers, honey, fruit, and so much more.

The Experience

We personally had a wonderful time where we got to meet the founder and had the opportunity to learn more about Blackland Distillery. We were able to try out every drink and got to take home our own Texpresso Martini Kit. The event offered customizable engraving, where we had the option to put our name, a message, or any wording of our choice. Personally, we loved this fun feature, making it even more exciting to take home our bottle from our enjoyable night.

Final Thoughts

We would have to say that hosting this happy hour over at Tiger Lilly’s was the best choice to enjoy our evening. The velvet and vintage designs were perfect for an upscale vibe with a nice cocktail on the side. We definitely enjoyed all of the drinks served and were pleased to know that we were able to take our own Blackland Texpresso whisky bottle. Overall, we would definitely come back for the drinks and the vibes while supporting Blackland Distillery.
