Cafe Largesse Restaurant Review

After opening its doors just a few months ago, Cafe Largesse has been serving up the most amazing dishes and handcrafted cocktails to the Austin community. Located in the Barton Creek area, the café serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and features stunning décor and china that invite guests to immerse themselves in a beautifully lit and cozy dining experience. This summer, Cafe Largesse introduced a new Spritz menu featuring high-quality cocktails like the Strawberry, Hugo, Peach and Basil, and the most refreshing cocktail we had on our visit—the Matcha Spritz. Alongside this new summer menu, the café offers a variety of filling entrées, appetizers, sides, and desserts that will leave you craving more once they’re gone. We had the opportunity to try some of these featured items and dishes and had the most spectacular time, so let’s dive in and talk about our favorite parts of the experience.

The Atmosphere

The atmosphere of the café is both scenic and welcoming, making it an excellent place to grab lunch with a friend or take that special someone out for a nice dinner. As you walk into the café, you’re greeted by the lovely staff, and as you take your seat and scroll through the menu, the beautiful paintings on the walls and the thoughtful layout of the restaurant create a truly special environment. The staff make it their priority to ensure that every guest has an amazing dining experience and are incredibly helpful when it comes to choosing from the perfectly curated menu of entrées. The lovely atmosphere is just the beginning, the experience of the cafe truly unfolds has once your order has been placed.

The Matcha Spritz

This summer, Cafe Largesse introduced a new Spritz menu featuring a variety of flavors—but one cocktail takes matcha to a whole new level. The Matcha Spritz is a sparkling, refreshing drink made with prosecco, gin, matcha, orgeat, lime, and mint. Handcrafted by the bartenders at Cafe Largesse, each component of this drink shines from the very first sip to the last. As a coffee and matcha enthusiast, I can say this cocktail was out of this world. The combination of prosecco, citrus, and matcha created an incredibly balanced and refreshing drink. I would definitely recommend the Matcha Spritz to anyone, along with the other flavorful options available on the Spritz menu.

The Food

On our visit to Cafe Largesse, we had the opportunity to try some of the most outstanding entrées and sides. We ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad, Half Roasted Chicken, and a side of Roasted Broccolini. Each of these dishes was packed with flavor and tasted incredible. The Half Roasted Chicken was especially tender, with bright lemon notes shining through each bite, making it a standout dish. Paired with the chicken, the Roasted Broccolini was infused with garlic and lemon, creating the perfect complement to the entrée. The Chicken Caesar Salad was light and refreshing, with an outstanding dressing. The grilled chicken on top tied everything together beautifully and added a delicious finishing touch. During our visit, the lovely owners of the restaurant gifted us the Short Rib Coca, a Spanish-style pizza topped with beef short rib, roasted garlic aioli, caramelized onion, pickled jalapeño, and whipped horseradish crème. This dish was our favorite of the entire experience. Each ingredient delivered bold flavor, but the short rib stood out the most with its intense juiciness layered over the perfectly toasted crust.
