All I Want for Christmas is Miracle on 5th
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Miracle on 5th. Even though we are still some time away, with the floor to ceiling decorations, multiple bar stations, and festive holiday drinks and eats, it feels like it’s already here. Located right on 5th street, Miracle on 5th offers a prime location and unique experience unlike any other here in Austin. As soon as you step foot into Miracle on 5th, it feels like you are stepping into a winter wonderland with all the lights, ornaments, and cheery music in the background. There is so much detail put into everything, the lights, the tinsel and decor, and even the elves have names and were placed in specific locations. From a ski lounge bar to the retro throwback of Ralphie’s bunny suit, everything in here radiates holiday cheer and brings a sense of festivity.

The Menu
Starting off with the beautiful holiday cocktails, they each came in these unique cups that accurately represented their names. I was impressed with the flavors that were captured in each drink, as they all had some holiday taste to it. Beginning with the Yippie Ki Yay Mother F****r, this is made with a variety of different rums and has hints of coconut and pineapple. This tasted like a tropical Christmas experience and is perfect for those who enjoy rum. Next, I tried the Christmasaurus which was my favorite of the night. This drink came in a red dinosaur cup that had colorful scales around the edge reminding me of Christmas lights and it had a Santa hat on it. This drink was very pineapple forward with a creamy taste. I loved how sweet and well balanced the flavors were in this drink. Another drink that was ordered that also came in a dinosaur cup was Rudolph’s Replacement aka a T-Rex with a Santa hat. This vodka based drink had a creamy, coffee taste to it and tasted somewhat like an espresso martini. There were also some orange hints to it but that flavor was not too strong. One of our last standouts would have to be one of the drinks my plus one ordered, the Stocking Stuffer. They described this flavor as “it tastes like grandpa spilled bourbon in a cold hot chocolate”. With hints of cinnamon and marshmallow in the drink, that brought out more of the sweetness and blended well with the bourbon flavor.

We also had the chance to try a few of the food items on the menu. The food paired very well with the drinks and complemented the flavors. The pork tamales had an authentic flavor to them and were very savory. Although the salsa that was given was not spicy, it was seasoned well and had a great flavor to it. As for the classic grilled cheese, this was made with sourdough bread and had gouda & mild yellow cheese. The flavors on this were amazing and I would definitely recommend ordering if you enjoy the taste of sourdough. It was fresh and crispy and overall very tasty.

Conclusion
Miracle on 5th offers a holiday ambiance like no other. It is the perfect place to go for Christmas cheer and festivities. Whether you are indulging in handmade festive cocktails, delicious snacks, or enjoying the various photo opportunities available, this is a wonderful place to be with friends and family.
