Came from Colorado and to Dixons for pregame grub. Found it on Google with good reviews and thought I'd give it a try. I had the chili in its own juice over a tamale with cheese, onion, and sour cream. Sweet tea for a drink. I was not disappointed. Chii tastes homemade, and the service is quick and friendly. Portions are filling even for a big guy like me. It's definitely recommended if you are in town before the game or if you want some legit chili made there for over 100 years.

I've never been more impressed with a milkshake in my life. It was so good and it wasn't too sweet and it paired perfectly with my burger. The burger was absolutely delicious I asked for extra lettuce and tomato, and they added on for free which was great. You can customise or make your own burger at this place as well. The staff were really nice.

I came upon this place due to an a tragedy with my daughter's car breaking down. It was around 10 pm and he assured my daughter that it would be safe in there lot until we could come get it picked up and towed to her home! He even held her keys so that she didnt have to try and hide them somewhere. We decided to order some food and EVERYTHING was awesome. Very nice gentleman on the phone with me placing the order and with her father when he picked the car and food up! Good business, good food, good people! We will be back. Also I did read some reviews saying the prices were too high and just have to say, what and where isn't too high these days? Their prices are pretty much in line with the rest, but here they are decent, honest people making great food. Id rather pay for this than what you get at the cardboard cut out fast food places around here anyway! ❤️

They closed down the serve yourself all you can eat buffet during Covid. So now they run a buffet line, where you tell them what you want as you travel down the line, and they dish it for you. You then go down the line to the cashier and pay. You can choose to eat in or take it out.. I always get the smothered porkchops and Salisbury steak. (which are both fall off the bone tender) The meat is so tender and succulent. Everything here is like your Grammy made it.. The green and green beans are seasoned to perfection. The Mac and cheese is baked with several cheeses... so so good! They also have delicious sautéed cabbage, and peach cobbler to die for. Home baked rolls and mammas cornbread! omgoodness... I can't stop salivating, even though I can't eat another bite! This is the best place for down home southern cookin!!!

LC’s Bar-B-Q is the best BBQ in existence. They don’t mess around. Their beef burnt ends melt in your mouth, absolutely the most incredible bbq beans I have ever eaten and the cole slaw is creamy and delicious. The dining area is on the small side and you’ll smell like bbq smoke when you leave, but it’ll be worth it. Also sometimes the service is kinda like being at your grumpy aunts house and she’s slightly annoyed that you’re visiting her, but don’t take offense. This place is also in a rougher neighborhood than you’re typical go to, but I’ve never felt unsafe. The parking lot is small, but there are parallel spots that everyone parks at. All this being said, LC’s is the most authentic bbq and if you get a chance, check them out. You won’t be disappointed.

Today the nimrods chose this unique old fashion polish restaurant in the old North end. This family owned restaurant has been feeding hungry Kansas City residents for nearly 100 years! Mike , the great grandson of Peter May who opened up in the middle of the great depression, treated us like regulars and made us feel very comfortable. It's easy to get used to the relaxed and laid back atmosphere. Seating is extremely limited so be prepared to get your food for carry out. Recognizing us a first timers he recommended a double Kielbasa sandwich with sauerkraut, mustard and pickles. All of nemrods agreed that this was the best lunch we had had in a long time and pledged to return soon. Easy to find with plenty of street parking. Bezza all that is why I have awarded Peter may's the coveted 5 star rating!
