Sandoitchi – Get Them While They’re Still Hot!

Sandoitchi, a Dallas-based company that makes Japanese-inspired sandwiches, comes to Austin! Previously in California, Houston, and now Austin. They offer a variety of flavors such as Fruit & Cream, Pork Katsu, Chicken Katsu, Egg Salad, and their famous Wagyu Sando topped with truffle!

They stay in each location for about a week or two and are only available for pickup! This Instagram famous sando pop-up sold out in under 6 minutes their first week in Austin!

They have 2-3 available pick up dates and you can choose which day you would like to pick up your order. Pickups start at 11 am and I suggest you go as early as you can because I picked up around 11:20 and there was already a long line of people halfway down the block!

Each flavor is unique in its own way. The fluffy Japanese milk bread really holds everything together and helps contribute to the light and airy texture of the sando. The egg salad has a beautiful medium-boiled egg and you can see the shine in the jammy egg and the creamy mayo that it’s mixed with topped with cracks of fresh pepper. The fruit and cream is light and sweet, but not too much that it will overwhelm you. The pork and chicken katsu were to die for! The softness of the bread and the crispy outer layer of the katsu creates a great texture for the tender meat and the thin bed of slaw gave it a nice refreshing feel.
