On March 13, 2025, one of the most anticipated musical events of the year, Luck Reunion, returned to the picturesque Hill Country setting of Willie Nelson’s famous “Luck, TX.” Fans from near and far flocked to the iconic venue for an unforgettable day of music, culinary delights, and artistic expression.

Throughout the day, attendees enjoyed surprise performances from music legends like Jessica Simpson, Arcade Fire & Friends, Waxahatchee, and Lucinda Williams, offering something truly special for every music lover.
The World Headquarters Main Stage
The World Headquarters Main Stage kicked off the festivities with Southwest Artist on the Rise winner Marlon Funaki. The crowd was quickly swept into the music with performances from BRISCOE, Chaparelle and Friends: A Tribute to Kris Kristofferson, and Shane Smith and the Saints. As the sun began to set, Waxahatchee brought her signature blend of heartfelt lyrics and indie rock, and the night culminated with a legendary performance by Willie Nelson and Family.
Willie was joined on stage by a remarkable array of artists, including Arcade Fire, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Margo Price, and Steve Earle, for a stirring gospel medley of classic tunes. It was a breathtaking moment that left the audience in awe.
The Barn Stage
At the Barn Stage, fans found themselves immersed in another incredible lineup of performances, with beer flowing and music playing well into the evening. The stage hosted sets from the Wonder Women of Country, Ken Pomeroy, Lily Meola, and Julien Baker & Torres. But the big surprises weren’t over — Jessica Simpson, who had not performed a full set since 2008, made a highly anticipated return to the stage. Fans were treated to a taste of her forthcoming EP Nashville Canyon. As the night drew to a close, Lucinda Williams graced the stage, delivering a soulful performance that left the audience mesmerized.
The Saloon Stage
The Saloon Stage, sponsored by Tito’s Handmade Vodka, was another lively hub of the festival, keeping fans dancing all day long. Arsun, Tommy Newport, Aly and AJ, Micah Nelson with Lafemmebear, Kim Richey, and Jessye DeSilva brought their unique sounds to the packed room. The energy reached new heights when Arcade Fire & Friends made an unannounced appearance, sending a wave of joy through the crowd as they delivered an unforgettable set.
The Chapel Stage
For those seeking more intimate performances, the newly restored Chapel Stage was the perfect spot. Throughout the day, fans were treated to intimate sets from Lefty Parker, Lizzy No, Jessie Wells, and Lukas Nelson. One of the day’s highlights was Luck Reunion x Western AF’s presentation of The Last Lost Weekend, featuring performances from Kristina Murray, John R. Miller, Jamie Wyatt, and She Returns From War. Steve Earle & Friends, including Emily Nenni, Tommy Prine, and Parker Twomey, also captivated audiences with their moving performances. Fans gathered around the chapel windows, eagerly peeking inside to catch a glimpse of the action.
Revival Tent and New Additions
The Revival Tent offered yet another exceptional experience with performances from Deslondes, BMI Acts in the Round (featuring Valley James, JD Clayton, and Coleman Jennings), Willi Carlisle, Infinity Song, Grace Bowers, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and Taj Mahal. Each act brought their own unique flavor to the mix, adding to the diversity of the festival’s musical offerings.
This year, the festival expanded its community-driven efforts with the debut of The Luck Family Foundation Community Conversations Stage. Since its launch in 2015, the Luck Family Foundation has supported environmental, food system, and artistic causes, raising over $2.8 million to date. Panels featured conversations with artists, collaborators, and grantees, including REVERB, Farm Aid, SFC’s Farm, B5 Farm, Margo Price, Matthew Logan Vasquez, and The Common Market. These discussions provided attendees with an opportunity to engage with the larger mission of the festival and the values it supports.
