The Social House Restaurant In Fort Worth – Detailed Review
The Social House is a restaurant and bar with locations in Fort Worth and Arlington, TX. I visited the restaurant in the Fort Worth location with two of my friends and we had the best time with amazing food and service! I would recommend anyone who is in town to stop by and dine in!
Restaurant’s Atmosphere
The atmosphere of the restaurant is perfect for occasions when you want to enjoy a good time with friends and family. When you walk in, you may notice that the interior design has a modern Americana and rustic look. With exposed brick walls, wooden tables, and mason jar lights, you get a nice and cozy vibe. Some decorations are based on Texas, with cowboy hats and signs in the shape of the Texas state.
But, another aspect of the restaurant is the trendy sensation that it gives off. There are lots of TVs set up with different channels including sports, funny videos, viral videos, and animal videos. There is a lot of stimulation going on, which could help the dinner flow better, especially if you want to go here on a date. In addition, they have good pop music playing in the background. With this, I wouldn’t come here if you want a quiet dinner. But, the overall atmosphere is very friendly and perfect for a social night out!
Bar Over 100 Beers
One thing that stood out to me was the bar. They offer many drinks and everyone (of age) will probably be able to find one they like. More specifically, the Social House has over 100 beers on draft, all chilling at 32 degrees. They are constantly rotating beers and have some that are always on tap! It’s cool because you can see the designs of all the beers on the taps.
They also have an extensive list of wines and cocktails that reflect popular trends. To ensure safety from COVID-19, the bar is sectioned off in 4 with plastic dividers. This is a unique aspect that I have never seen anywhere else, but I think it is a great idea!
COVID 19 Precautions
This restaurant is COVID-friendly, implementing as many safety precautions as possible, while smoothly running their restaurant. One thing you may notice as you walk in is that there are signs that say “please wear your mask.” This shows that they are encouraging people who are not dining to wear their masks for the safety of themselves and everyone else at the restaurant. Also, their menu had turned digital.
At every table, there is a sign with two QR codes, one to the food menu and the other to the drink menu. There is also outdoor seating if guests want to be extra safe with air circulation. The outdoor heaters will help make that the most comfortable experience.
*Update: The Social House is now 100% open!
The Social House Menu
Starters
Bruschetta is personally one of my favorites – I would rate it a 10/10! I could easily say this is the BEST bruschetta I have ever had in my life. This dish has four long pieces of toasted bread, topped with melted mozzarella, red and yellow tomatoes, pesto, olive oil, and drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette. Not only is the presentation of it beautiful but the taste is exquisite. There is a perfect balance between all the flavors, which diffuses in my mouth in every bite.

These fried pickles are the perfect appetizer to have with a big party group! There is a good amount of these sliced and bite-sized fried pickles, sprinkled with scallions as garnish. The breading is A1, with excellent crispiness. With just the right amount of salt and sour flavors, the fried pickles are complemented with a side of ranch dressing. Dipping them in the ranch, slightly cuts down the sourness of the pickle and makes it taste even better!

House Specialties
Peppercorn Center Cut Filet, I loved the steak! They ask how you would like it cooked, and I thought they cooked it perfectly. It had a lot of spices and seasoning on it, bringing in a lot of flavors. It was a little bit spicy, but I thought it was really good like that. The steak was topped with sliced garlic and delicious port wine demi-glaze. In addition, this dish came with some baked asparagus and mashed potatoes, which were smooth and had a good consistency.

Slow Roasted Blue Moon Butter Chicken, this dish consists of roasted half chicken, rainbow fingerling potatoes, and house-made mustard greens cooked with applewood bacon. The chicken was very tender and nicely seasoned. You could taste the butter but in a good way. The potatoes were a little salty but delicious!

Braised Short-Ribbed Pasta, this dish uses hand-cut pappardelle pasta, wild mushrooms, and cipollini onions with a blackened cream sauce. The sauce is very creamy, sprinkled with cheese, so if you like heavy food I would say this pasta is a must! The flavor is mild but still tasteful. This is especially true as the mushroom absorbs the flavor of the sauce. But, one of the best parts is that the short rib is very tender and falls right apart when you eat it! Overall, everything ties in well together!

Desserts
Mont Blanc this dessert consists of pound cake, vanilla bean ice cream, fresh berries, and a white chocolate Bailey’s sauce. From the sweetness of the cake and ice cream to the freshness of the fruits to the little kick in the Bailey’s, the combination of all of these ingredients complimented each other. If you want to be classy and like the taste of a little liquor, I recommend this dessert!

Bananas Foster, this dessert is not only delicious but also a fun time! This is made of caramelized bananas, vanilla bean ice cream, and homemade caramel sauce. When the waiter/waitress brings you the dish, they will pour the hot caramel sauce over the plate in front of you, and you will see it bubble and make the ice cream melt a little bit. It’s very sweet, but also a unique and yummy dessert.

Fudge Cake If you are a chocolate lover, you NEED to try this cake! This six-layer chocolate cake is very rich and tasteful. There is a little bit of caramel sauce drizzled on the plate, and some whipped cream on the side to eat with it. Although it is just a single slice, it is very filling and satisfying.
