Pinthouse Pizza Restaurant – Detailed Review
The Original Pinthouse opened in 2012 on Burnet Road by six guys who shared a passion for craft beer and good food. Since the opening of the original Pinthouse Pizza, they have opened three other locations all around the Austin area and grown to be known as the best pizzas in Austin.
Pinthouse loves to contribute to the originality and vibrance that makes our city so unique. Their goal is to serve award-winning beer and hand-crafted pizzas in a warm and casual setting. In this review of Pinthouse Pizza, I can confidently say that they reach above and beyond that goal.
Pinthouse Pizza Menu
Austin’s Pinthouse Pizza has what they call their Off the Map Pie which rotates every month. The Off the Map Pie explores new combinations and fun ingredients that aren’t on your traditional pizzas.
March’s Off the Map Pie was the Texas Chicken Ranch Pizza. Named after Sheriff Ed Earl, this pizza has a creme fraiche base and is topped with Pinthouse’s very own special chee blend, savory chicken, crispy bacon, green onions, herbs, and a ranch dressing swirl.
The Off the Map Pies are delicious and one of a kind, I can’t wait to see what April’s will be.
Pinthouse has daily lunch specials including a 10” personal pizza, Pinthouse or Cesar side salad, and a drink or a full Pinthouse or Cesar salad, pizza roll, and a drink both for only $12.50. Their lunch specials run Monday – Friday from 11 AM to 3 PM.
If you are feeling less adventurous at Pinthouse you can build your own pizza. When building your own pie you get to choose the size of the pizza, crust, cheese, and toppings you want to make your pizza specialized to you.
Pinthouse now offers the option of Smart Flour gluten-free crust, a bland that includes ancient grains sorghum, amaranth, and teff. The blend of grains gives their dough a taste unique to any other gluten-free options.
