i Fratelli Pizza Place in Austin | i Fratelli Pizza Review

February 2, 2023

The Italian word i Fratelli means the brothers, which refers to the restaurant’s owners, Darrell, David, George, and Mike Cole, who are brothers from Irving, Texas. The brothers opened their first pizza joint in their hometown in 1987, and their love for pizza and what they do has allowed them to open over 20 other spots across Texas.

Their three Austin locations’ hours range from 11 a.m. to either 9 or 10 p.m. depending on the day, so a late-night bite of pizza is always an option. As for the killjoy that is covid, the staff wear masks, and the locations are spacious, so tables are fairly far apart. In terms of payment, I Fratelli Pizza is slightly behind the curve and does not accept Apple or Android pay, but of course, accepts cash and card. Be sure to look on their website before checkout as they often have coupons and specials to save you some money!

With a familial bond at the root of the restaurant, i Fratelli Pizza Austin is a family-friendly pizza spot that prides itself on its handmade and old school pizzas. I Fratelli’s was crowned the Prince of Pies in the 2015 Dallas competition with their notable rectangular pizzas, and ever since the lovable pizza spot has only grown in recognition and locations.
