85 Degree Bakery Cafe In Austin – Detailed Review

85 Degree Bakery Cafe Review

85C Bakery Cafe is no ordinary cafe, with its handcrafted drinks and over 50 different freshly baked pastries. There is no question why this chain is on my list of the best desserts in Austin. Their namesake comes from the idea that the perfect temperature to brew espresso coffee is 85C. For the bakery, their name is a symbol of their devotion to serving coffee, bread, and cakes of the utmost quality to each and every guest.

The story of how 85 Degree Bakery Cafe came to be, started when the founder Mr. Cheng-Hsueh Wu visited a cafe in a five-star hotel. While eating his pastries and sipping on his drink he felt that the prices were set way too high for people to enjoy on a whim. At that moment he got the idea for 85 Degree Bakery Cafe. In 2008 the first 85C opened in Irvine CA. Today, the company has over 1,000 locations worldwide.
